Visual Designer
We are seeking an experienced Visual Designer to work on graphics and designs for mobile apps, websites, and creative projects. As a Visual Designer at Reddit, you'll be creating interactive designs, creative assets, and high-quality visuals across many platforms. Your work will be viewed and used by millions of people. The work you create will be used in digital formats as well as on posters, merchandise, and more. Our design team is small and friendly, so you'll be collaborating closely with fellow designers, sharing designs and feedback.
Requirements
- A portfolio that demonstrates graphic design thinking and skills in a variety of formats, specifically digital interface design for mobile applications, but also web, branding, print, illustration, and motion design
- Minimum 4 years prior work experience in a related role
- Up-to-date knowledge of modern design and typographic principles
- Ability to think visually and collaborate with the product and design teams as it pertains to interaction, behavior, and style discussions
- Ability to think technically and collaborate with engineers, with an understanding of the possibilities and constraints of common platforms (iOS and Android)
- Effective time management skills and ability to balance project schedules with multiple and changing requirements
- Ability to interpret, translate and extend existing brand, product and service guidelines in the context of developing new experiences
- Expert level fluency with common design software (Illustrator, Photoshop) for the creation of visual design documents, presentations, and assets
- Ideally knowledge of interactive motion and motion graphics software
