Interface Designer
We are seeking an experienced Interface Designer who has experience with both the UX and visual aspects of designing great mobile and web interfaces. This is a great opportunity to come in when we’re improving and expanding our current offerings on mobile, as well as on the web. The design team at reddit is new but growing, and we're looking for people who appreciate modern, functional design with strong aesthetic viewpoints to help reddit deliver better experiences. You’ll have the opportunity to enrich the experience of hundreds of millions of people on mobile and desktop with your designs.
Qualifications
- A portfolio that demonstrates graphic design thinking and skills in a variety of formats, specifically digital interface design for responsive web and/or native mobile applications.
- Minimum 2 years prior work experience in a related role.
- Up-to-date knowledge of best practices for responsive web, and/or iOS and Android design patterns.
- Ability to think visually, gauge the usability of new and existing products and make constructive suggestions for change.
- An understanding of the possibilities and constraints of websites and/or primary mobile application platforms (iOS and Android).
- Effective time management skills and ability to balance project schedules with multiple and changing requirements.
- Ability to interpret and extend existing brand and service guidelines in the context of new experiences.
- Fluency with common design software (Illustrator, Photoshop) for development of storyboards, interaction prototypes, and final polished visual designs.
