About the Role
Redhorse Corporation is seeking a highly motivated Human Resources Assistant to support our team working with the U.S. Department of Energy's Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy (EERE) office. This critical role will provide essential administrative support for various HR functions, ensuring compliance with DOE regulations and contributing to a positive and efficient work environment within a high-impact government contract. You will play a vital role in supporting the human capital needs of a team dedicated to advancing energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies.

Key Responsibilities

    • Supporting human resources (HR) functions such as: recruitment, classification review, compensation studies, employment analysis, and leave and benefits administration.
    • Collecting and analyzing data related to HR operations and trends.
    • Tracking trends and developments in assigned functional areas within the HR department.
    • Conducting studies, performing research, and preparing reports on HR-related topics.
    • Reviewing, interpreting, and recommending policies and procedures related to HR compliance.
    • Participating in working groups, councils, and committees as needed to address HR matters.
    • Ensuring compliance with DOE HR-related rules and regulations.

Required Experience/Clearance

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and 8 years of experience OR high school diploma and 12 years of experience.
    • Federal HR experience.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Professional attitude.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to competently deal with rapidly changing priorities and requirements.
    • Ability to perform sensitive tasks that require discretion and tact.

Desired Experience

    • Experience with government contracting processes.
    • Knowledge of HRIS systems (e.g., PeopleSoft).
    • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
    • Experience in developing and delivering HR training programs.
    • Familiarity with DOE-specific HR policies and procedures.
