Position Description:
Are you an experienced engineering professional who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment? Our Cyber Analytics division is seeking a Network Engineer to support one of our government customers. You will ensure mission-critical systems remain available and secure with our talented team on your side.
Location: Quantico, VA.
The Network Engineer will evaluate, install, configure, and maintain customer networks and provide expert advice on hardware/software upgrades and enhancements to support network scalability and ongoing operations. You will monitor networks to optimize performance, availability, and data integrity. You will also create and maintain configuration documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to meet security, regulatory, and legal requirements. Coordination with senior management, developers, analysts, other contractors, and vendors is necessary to ensure positive working relationships and mission success.
Basic Requirements for Skills, Experience, Education and Credentials
- 5+ years of technical experience designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing networks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering. Additional work experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
- Experience analyzing network structure and configurations for scalability and optimization.
- Experience implementing and maintaining network hardware configuration consistent with laws, regulations, policies, and technical guidelines.
- An understanding of FISMA security requirements.
- Experience with the design and development of complex multi-server environments based on VMware virtual servers.
- Knowledge ofTCP/IP and common applications of network communications (DNS, IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, Firewalls, Load Balancing)
- Experience maintaining and executing back-up and restore processes.
- Ability to configure and integrate application servers, fileservers, network area storage devices, storage area network devices, firewalls, hubs, routers, and switches.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Active TS clearance is required.
