COMPANY OVERVIEW:
Boston Common Golf is one of six inaugural teams in TGL presented by SoFi. The team features Rory McIlroy, Keegan Bradley, Adam Scott, and Hideki Matsuyama represent Boston and New England playing in five regular season matches broadcast live on ESPN against the other TGL teams. The matches played at the SoFi Center, a custom-built venue in Palm Beach, Florida, that combines a data-rich virtual course with a state-of-the-art short game complex.
 
Boston Common Golf is part of Fenway Sports Group, a global sports, marketing, media, entertainment, and real estate company anchored by three iconic clubs, the Boston Red Sox, Liverpool Football Club, and the Pittsburgh Penguins. FSG’s portfolio includes two of the world’s most historic venues, Fenway Park and Anfield Stadium, NASCAR’s RFK Racing, NESN, Fenway Sports Management (FSM), and Fenway Sports Group Real Estate (FSGRE).
 
POSITION OVERVIEW: 
This position will be responsible for managing and activating Boston Common Golf’s multi-million dollar portfolio of corporate partners.  This person will be expected to build close relationships, have extreme attention to detail, and work with thoroughness and kindness. Additionally, as part of joining to this start-up venture they will be expected to demonstrate a willingness and commitment to working in a team first, collaborative environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Serve as day-to-day liaison between team, league and partners
    • Develop activation plans and day-to-day implementation of partnership assets for all BCG partners
    • Monitor sponsorship asset delivery through and provide regular reports
    • Manage team sponsorship inventory including sold and available
    • Lead the creation of mid-year and season-end recaps based on partners’ objectives and activation
    • Work with internal and external groups to build season plans that meet and exceed partner objectives
    • Help build, maintain and grow partner relationships at all levels
    • Assist in planning and executing BCG-owned events
    • Collaborate with marketing to integrate sponsors into social, digital, and event promotions.
    • Ensure the highest level of partner satisfaction through outstanding customer service

CHARACTERISTICS/QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in corporate partnerships, preferably for a venue, team, league, property or sports/entertainment marketing agency
    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Experience working with Salesforce CRM systems a plus
    • History of working with top local, regional and national brands on activation platforms, including digital, social, media, community, branding, content and in-market
    • Ability to develop creative proposals that meet and exceed partners’ needs
    • Ability to read, interpret and provide feedback on partnership agreements
    • Ability to develop strong peer level relationships and work in a team environment
    • Strong presentation, written, and communication skills
    • Strong time management, customer service and organizational skills
    • High energy with ability to work long/flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
    • Ability to travel to all Boston Common Golf matches and partnership events
    • Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office
    • Knowledge and experience with major social media platforms
