Are you passionate about cybersecurity and ready to make a real impact? Redwood Credit Union is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to lead the charge in safeguarding our critical information assets. This position requires the ability to develop and maintain efficient and effective security controls in a dynamic technology environment. Champion information security awareness across company, engaging team members to continuously enhance security posture to meet industry best practices as well as internal, Member, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Security Analysis and Incident Response:
o Conduct in-depth security analysis, including vulnerability assessments, threat modeling, and risk assessments.
o Perform SEIM Log analysis on detections and the ability to write detection rules, preferably with KQL. Experience with Microsoft Sentinel or Splunk is preferred.
o Investigate and respond to security events promptly, during event investigations, containment, resolution and escalation.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and mitigate security threats.
o Provide recommendations to prevent future incidents based on forensic analysis.
o Stay informed about emerging threats and industry trends.
o Make recommendations to reduce risk profile of systems and processes.
Security Controls and Framework:
o Design, implement, and monitor security controls across systems and applications.
o Maintain the organization’s security framework aligned with industry standards (CIS / NIST).
o Contribute to security-related aspects of internal audits and regulatory compliance.
o Prepare and present security reports to senior leadership.
o Mentor IT staff on security best practices and emerging technologies.
o Participate in continuous learning to stay current with cybersecurity advancements.
o Collaborate with colleagues to draft technology plans that enhance security posture.

Minimum Qualification: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Advanced O365, EDR/XDR platform experience (Crowdstrike, Palo Alto or MS Defender) and Azure administration experience required.
- Experience with managing network devices like firewalls, VPN appliances, remote access and servers.
- Advanced experience with managing Microsoft and Linux servers, endpoints across Mac and Windows, and MDM solutions like Intune.
- Thorough knowledge of processes, procedures, rules, and regulations pertaining to information technology security.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision and/or direction.
- Ability to develop and implement technology projects.
- Ability to interact and communicate with outside vendors and internal clients.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of people.
- Ability to travel 10% of the time.
- Ability to work on an on-call rotation for after-hours Incident escalations.
Licenses and Certifications
- Security+, Azure SCIF (Security Compliance Identity Fundamentals) or other Security certification strongly preferred.
The ideal candidate has a combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in computer science or closely related field and a minimum of six years of IT experience to include a minimum of two years in Cybersecurity.
Compensation: Base starting range: $111,904 to $147,433 annually commensurate with experience.
Our base salary starting range is based on scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity. Physical Requirements:
• Ability to travel to offsite locations and branch offices as needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time occasionally.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to use a computer keyboard, calculator, and mouse.
• Work environment is indoors; majority of the time is spent sitting at a desk.
