- Currently reside in Saskatchewan.
- Should be able to attend the event in-person in Regina on September 24.
- Eligible to work in Canada (you must have a valid work permit, permanent residency, or citizenship).

Position Qualifications

    • Working knowledge and ability to demonstrate techniques needed to persuasively promote the sale of Complex business products and/or services, typically gained from 2 years in a Sales role. 
    • Working knowledge of SaskTel products and services. 
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
    • Demonstrated ability to handle business customer contacts with tact, diplomacy and courtesy at all times, 
    • particularly when handling complaints and resolving disputes. 
    • Good analytical, problem-solving solving and decision-making skills. 
    • General knowledge of SaskTel Business Sales products and services (wireline and wireless). 
    • Working knowledge of personal computers and various software applications. 
    • Good multi-tasking skills. 
    • Successful completion of prescribed training courses. 
    • Keyboarding skills 20 words per minute.

Hours of Work

    • This is classified as a casual - part time position which means that SaskTel cannot guarantee a set number of hours per week. Hours are scheduled according to business needs. The hours of operation are Monday to Friday (8:00am - 5:00pm). 
    • Our Service Representative currently average approximately 30-35 hours per week but this can vary and is based on business needs. 
    • This is a unionized position, and you will become a member of Unifor once you commence employment. Positions that are of a more permanent nature (permanent part-time, permanent full-time) are awarded based on seniority and qualifications. 

Shifting

    • Service Representatives are shifted 5 days per week and have various start times. Our Casual Part Time shifts vary in length and are currently between the hours of 8:00-5:00pm Monday - Friday but may evolve based on business needs to include evenings and weekends. 
    • Ideal candidates will be expected to be flexible in their working availability. 
    • There are two types of working shifts. One shift is a scheduled shift where these will be released 30 days prior to the shift. The other type of shifting is a day-of call-in shift where we would call you in to work the same day. 
    • It is an expectation of SaskTel that you would accept nearly 100% of your scheduled shifts as well as at least 80% of the day-of call-ins. 

Training

    • Training is typically scheduled for full-time shifts. Although you will be working various shifts in this position, the training is very structured. Training will start on your first day of employment and will cover orientation, SaskTel specific systems training as well as technical training. 
    • Passing the training program is a condition of your employment. 
    • You can expect to train between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday to Friday based on training requirements. 
    • This is fully paid training, and you must be available to attend 100% of the training. 
$27.42 - $27.42 an hour
