Our employer partner, a vibrant and exciting credit union, is looking to add a driven Talent Acquisition Coordinator to their growing team in North York.

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator provides client-centric administrative support for talent acquisition initiatives with a focus on interview coordination, background check management, phone interviewing and sourcing support to the Talent Acquisition Partners and Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator provides support end-to-end talent acquisition process for a variety of positions across all levels, functional areas, and branch locations.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Post job advertisements using the ATS (TalentNest) and LinkedIn; represent and communicate the employment brand through social media posts, communicate with candidates, employees and through other recruitment marketing initiatives such as hiring events
    • Conduct candidate searches using ATS (TalentNest) and other sourcing platforms such as Indeed, for entry level roles across all departments i.e. Branches, Corporate Office
    • Coordinate the interview scheduling process for Talent Acquisition Partners with coordination and tracking of phone interviews (first interviews) and virtual interviews with hiring managers (second interviews) using MS Outlook and/or Calendly; provide timely follow-ups and interview confirmations to candidates, hiring managers, and Talent Acquisition Partners
    • Conduct phone interviews with candidates to assess fit with the company and technical skill requirements for entry level roles across all departments i.e. Branches, Corporate Office
    • Support the weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting process for open vacancies by ensuring recruitment data is updated in ATS, interview and candidate trackers
    • Ensure an excellent candidate experience that represents the company's culture and employment brand through all communications with external candidates
    • Draft employment agreements for external and internal hires; proofread for accuracy
    • Coordinate the background check process which includes employment verifications, credit checks, and bonding. Follow-up with background check vendors and provide regular updates to Talent Acquisition Partners on status of completion, using strong analytical and critical thinking skills along with an investigative lens, to assess results of background checks; may conduct employment verifications and references
    • Coordinate the new employee onboarding process and first day activities with various departments including IT, Facilities and People & Culture to ensure a smooth onboarding experience
    • Continually identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures to ensure a more efficient, accurate and smooth end-to-end recruitment process which will positively impact candidate time to hire and Talent Acquisition Partner efficiency

Qualifications:

    • Post-secondary education in Business, Human Resources, or a related field
    • 1-2 years of experience in a Talent Acquisition function
    • Experience using social media platforms for recruitment i.e. LinkedIn
    • Previous experience in a customer service and/or an administrative role
    • Financial services industry experience an asset
    • Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems an asset
    • Strong collaborative attributes to effectively work with employees, managers, and others in the P&C team
    • Strong customer service, relationship building, problem solving, and follow-up skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization
    • Exceptional multi-tasking and organizational skills with a proven ability to prioritize and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing demands
    • Ability to manage at times, a large volume of administrative and coordination duties
    • Ability to seek out opportunities to improve processes and procedures that will positively impact workflows
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills coupled with investigative skills and attention to detail
    • Strong computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office products specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel
    • High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism; must be able to handle all confidential information with discretion and sensitivity
    • General knowledge of relevant employment and human rights legislation an asset
    • General knowledge of compensation and other HR related programs an asset
$50,000 - $55,000 a year
