This position is exclusively for the 2025 Toronto Refugee Hiring Event. To be eligible to apply, you must meet the following criteria:
- Arrived in Canada as a refugee (government or private sponsorship), applied for asylum after arriving in Canada (refugee claimant/asylum seeker), or were forcibly displaced. This includes individuals from countries such as Ukraine, Afghanistan, Iran, and others.
- Currently reside in the Greater Toronto Area or near the Greater Toronto Area.
- You can attend the event in person in Toronto on October 17th.
- Eligible to work in Canada (you must have Permanent Residency, Citizenship, or a valid work permit).
- 18 years of age or older.

- Ability to create a genuine moment of connection with our customers - making a difference in their day by discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication
- Willingness to learn - using a mix of online learning, classroom training, and hands-on mentorship, you’ll learn how to prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients, or substituted ingredients.
- Availability to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
- Openness to getting the job done and helping your team in a dynamic retail environment.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
- No previous experience required

$17 - $18 an hour
