ABOUT THE ROLE:
We’re searching for innovative Software Engineers ready to redefine how businesses connect with customers. At Regal.ai, we empower leading brands in high-consideration industries—think healthcare, financial services, and education—to perfect every customer interaction. Our platform orchestrates personalized outreach across channels like VOIP, SMS, email, and beyond, integrating everything into one seamless, data-rich interface.

OUR STACK:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be a key contributor to Regal’s backend systems and Node-based APIs, helping execute against our product roadmap and delivering high-quality, scalable systems in collaboration with the Product and Design teams.
- Develop and integrate AI-driven features into our communication workflows, leveraging machine learning for predictive customer engagement and automation.
- Improve the observability and throughput of our Node APIs and services.
- Understand the ins and outs of Twilio APIs, AWS services, and AI frameworks that we rely on
- Work with other engineers on the team to write and review RFCs, conduct code reviews, and support your code in production.
- Work with our Senior and Staff Engineers to improve and implement scalability, maintainability, and performance standards.
- Use platforms like Datadog to instrument and monitor code in production.
- Provide on-call support for the application and work to triage production issues.
ABOUT YOU:
- 1+ year experience working with web technologies, ideally in a high-growth environment
- Fluent in Node.js with Typescript backends (Nice to have: Python experience, particularly in AI/ML applications)
- Experience with AI/ML technologies such as NLP, LLMs, or predictive analytics is a plus.
- Proficient in working with Relational Databases (e.g. Postgres) (Nice to have: DynamoDB)
- Experience building and scaling systems in production.
- Proactively collaborates with Product and other engineers to deliver complex projects.
- Passionate about quality of code, AI-driven solutions, and scalable systems.
- Enthusiastic about the high-impact, fast-paced work environment of an early-stage startup.
- Passion for learning and a deep technical curiosity—constantly improving yourself and eager to fully understand the problems you are tackling.

$100,000 - $120,000 a year
The reasonably estimated base salary for this role is provided as a range within this job description. All offers include a competitive equity package and some offers may additionally include a variable compensation component. Actual compensation is determined on an individualized basis taking into consideration factors such as the candidate's skills, location, qualifications, experience, and relevant education or training. POSITION LOCATION & OFFICE DETAILS:
This position is only available in New York City (HQ- NoMad). Hybrid roles are required in office T/W/TH and office optional M/F.
