As an IT Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting and optimizing enterprise systems across software, hardware, cloud, and lab environments. You’ll work closely with internal team members to design, requisition, implement, and support REGENXBIO’s servers, networks, computers, applications, and lab systems. The Systems Engineer partners with functional stakeholders to deliver secure and compliant technology solutions that meet business needs, particularly in lab and manufacturing settings.

What you'll be doing:

    • Works with functional stakeholders to identify software, hardware, and cloud solutions for business processes
    • Performs high-level, day-to-day operational maintenance and support
    • Works with vendors, resellers and manufacturers in design and implementation of new systems.
    • Responsible for creating config spec documents for newly implemented systems.
    • Works with Quality Organization to present change plans, change actions, and close assigned workflows in a timely fashion.
    • Participate in code review meetings in accordance with secure coding standards.
    • Serve as technical expert in support of software implementations, tests, installs and optimizes hardware/software/cloud products and configurations.
    • Experience working with lab and manufacturing systems.
    • Write and maintain custom scripts to automate routine processes and tasks to increase system efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
    • Work with leadership in support of audits and risk assessments.
    • Provide 1st and 2nd level support, and on-call support as needed.

What we're looking for:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science with 2+ years support experience preferred
    • Outstanding interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
    • Working knowledge of GxP standards.
    • Working experience in quality management system.
    • Knowledge of Active Directory, domain controllers, group policy and networking.
    • Ability to work independently and communicate, cooperate and collaborate with different individuals, groups, and teams.
    • Strong scripting experience, Powershell is a must.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and serve as subject matter expert (SME) for those systems.
    • Experience with laboratory and manufacturing systems.
    • Must be able to troubleshoot/diagnose issues as arisen.
    • Effective time management by prioritizing workload. 
    • Experience working with 3rd party vendors, facilitating access as in accordance with security policies.
    • Excellent organizational skills. 
    • Ability and willingness to learn new technology and tools to help users meet needs and become more effective.

The estimated compensation range for this role is $83,000 to $112,000 annually. The actual salary offered to the final candidate depends on a number of factors such as relevant work experience, skills, education, and years of experience.
