Are you passionate about driving the future of software development? Do you have a knack for optimizing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes? If you are eager to lead the charge in enabling GitHub and GitHub Actions within a dynamic company, we want you! 
 
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be a spearhead in the integration and enablement of GitHub and GitHub Actions, helping to transform our company’s software delivery pipelines. I will apply your deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure best practices across the board and be the catalyst for efficiency, empowering other teams to maximize their use of GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines. You will also support principles of Agile, like iterative approach, continuous improvement, and feedback culture, by leading a team of talented engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for site reliability and automation.

Responsibilities

    • Lead and Mentorship: Guide and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Your leadership will be instrumental in enabling other teams to excel in using GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines. 
    • Automation and Implementation: Design and implement automation for our Internal Developer Platform (IDP) and development tools, with a special focus on enabling GitHub and GitHub Actions for company-wide adoption. 
    • Technical Expertise: Utilize your expertise in PowerShell, C#, Groovy, and GitHub Actions to enhance our automation capabilities, ensuring our systems are integrated and modernized efficiently. 
    • SDLC Mastery: Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and apply best practices to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery. 
    • Azure Experience: Bring your Azure experience to the table, contributing to the enhancement of our cloud capabilities and services. 
    • On-Call Support: Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 availability of critical systems. 
    • Collaborative Architecture Development: Work with Staff, Principal Engineers, and Architects to develop system software architecture and future, ensuring scalability and robustness. 
    • Goal Setting and Communication: Align with management to set and communicate team goals and vision, adapting to changing requirements and ensuring the team achieves its objectives. 
    • Technical Planning and Solutions: Guide technical direction, planning, and solutions. Specify non-functional software requirements and analyze all requirements to determine design feasibility within time and cost constraints. 
    • Core Values Ambassador: Exemplify our Core Values and be a role model, motivating the team through changes and failures, and championing efficiency in CI/CD practices. 

Qualifications

    • Experience: 7+ years in software development with a history of significant contributions. 
    • Team Support: Passionate about mentoring and uplifting both team members and the company. 
    • GitHub Actions knowledge: Act as an internal consultant, using your expertise in GitHub Actions to empower teams. 
    • Problem-Solving: Proactive and hands-on in tackling and resolving challenges. 
    • Communication: Strong skills in problem-solving and team collaboration. 
    • CI/CD Knowledge: Direct experience with CI/CD and DevOps, especially in improving these practices. 
    • Scripting Proficiency: Skilled in PowerShell, C#, Groovy, and GitHub Actions. 
    • SDLC Understanding: Deep knowledge of SDLC and commitment to best practices. 
    • Azure Experience: Valuable experience with Azure, enhancing our cloud operations. 
    • Agile Familiarity: Agile methodology experience for quick and efficient project adaptation. 
    • English Fluency: Must be fluent in English for effective communication.

Compensation

    • Compensation Relativity is committed to competitive, fair and equitable compensation practices
    • This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, annual performance bonus target of 10%, and long-term incentives. The expected salary range for this role is between 232 000 and 348 000 PLN gross/year (Employment Contract). The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position.
