As a Supply Chain & Compliance Manager at Reliable Robotics, you will be a part of the Production organization (Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain) and report to the Head of Production & Supply Chain. You’ll play a critical role in building relationships with key industry partners/suppliers, creating the infrastructure needed to scale the business, and driving supplier execution for safety-critical systems. This is a small but growing team of highly motivated people who are passionate about delivering quality products and services, on-time, and with unquestionable value. You will have hands-on responsibility for supply chain execution with an emphasis on procurement, sourcing, negotiation, contract development, contract management, and proposal development. These responsibilities require a strong understanding of the aviation market, business objectives, and supplier capabilities to ensure success. This position requires coordination with internal customers on supply chain contract matters, managing a complex portfolio of supplier contracts, regularly conducting contract negotiations and first-order legal analysis, and communicating with leadership to develop, implement, and achieve short and long-term business objectives. This position can be filled remotely or based at our facility in Mountain View, California.

Responsibilities

    • Plan, manage, and coordinate all activities related to the procurement of materials, services, and supplies needed to meet demand signals
    • Create, review, negotiate, interpret, and manage complex contracts and agreements, ensuring favorable or mutually beneficial terms, pricing and compliance
    • Develop sustainable relationships with our partners, suppliers or distributors
    • Mature internal supply chain policies, procedures, and instructions
    • Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations
    • Create and manage obsolescence and risk reduction plans
    • Develop, monitor, and continuously improve key supplier performance indicators; manage supplier improvement plans

Basic Success Criteria

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, or Engineering
    • Demonstrated experience in supply chain management, contracts/subcontracts, legal, or engineering
    • Proven ability to develop and negotiate contracts
    • Ability to ramp up quickly on new concepts, technologies, and opportunities, and a passion for solving hard problems with analysis and creativity

Preferred Success Criteria

    • Strong knowledge of the federal procurement process and an understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA)
    • Experience with quality systems (e.g. AS9100, ISO9001, or FAA Parts Manufacturing Approval)
    • Program Management Professional (PMP) certifications
    • Experience with manufacturing support of electromechanical devices

This role can be remote, or located at our facility in Mountain View, California. Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time. 

The estimated salary range for this position is $109,000-$171,500 annual salary + cash and stock option awards + benefits. At Reliable Robotics, we strive to provide competitive and rewarding compensation based on experience and expertise, as well as market conditions, location, and pay equity.
