As a Head of Supply Chain at Reliable Robotics, you will be a part of the Production organization and report to the Head of Production & Supply Chain. This is a small but growing team of highly motivated people that are passionate about delivering quality products and services, on-time, and with unquestionable value. As a key member of this team, you’ll play a critical role where you are responsible for building strategic relationships with key industry partners, maturing the supply chain organization, and driving supplier execution for safety-critical systems. You will have end-to-end ownership over supply chain strategy and execution, support certification, and compliance efforts, and create the infrastructure needed to scale the business. This position can be filled remotely or based at our facility in Mountain View, California.

Responsibilities

    • Develop sustainable relationships with suppliers or distributors through negotiation and contract development
    • Plan, manage, and coordinate all activities related to the procurement of materials, services, and supplies needed to meet demand signals
    • Determine supply chain strategies through the evaluation of supplier core competencies and their competitive positioning, suppliers assessments, analysis of industry and market conditions, and predictive analytics
    • Establish quality programs and process control plans for early detection of issues and to ensure the highest level of quality and reliability is consistently delivered
    • Mature internal supply chain policies, procedures, and instructions
    • Create and manage obsolescence and risk reduction plans
    • Develop, monitor, and continuously improve key supplier performance indicators; manage supplier improvement plans

Basic Success Criteria

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferability in systems, mechanical, or electrical
    • 6+ years of experience in systems engineering, supply chain management, manufacturing, or related engineering disciplines
    • 3+ years of experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders with exceptional negotiation skills
    • Proven ability to draft contractual documents with the support of legal counsel
    • Ability to ramp up quickly on new concepts, technologies, and opportunities, and a passion for solving hard problems with rigorous analysis and creativity
    • You take ownership, are an inventive problem solver, and have a high level of accountability

Preferred Criteria

    • Knowledge of supplier quality processes (e.g., Federal Aviation Administration Parts Manufacturing Approval (FAA-PMA), First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), Quality Clauses, etc.)
    • Experience with FAA certification
    • Experience in program or project management
    • Experience with manufacturing support of electromechanical devices
    • Experience with quality systems (e.g. ISO9001/AS9100)

The position will be located at our facility in Mountain View, California. Must be willing to travel up to 25-50% of the time. 

The estimated salary range for this position is $160,000 to $207,500.  At Reliable Robotics, we strive to provide competitive and rewarding compensation based on experience and expertise, as well as market conditions, location, and pay equity.
