As a Software Engineer working on displays & controls at Reliable Robotics you will architect, design, and implement software to support the development, simulation, test, certification and operation of automated aircraft systems. You will help to design, develop, and deliver the human interface.

This position can be filled remotely or be based at our facility in Mountain View, California.

Responsibilities

    • Work closely with engineers throughout the company to plan, architect, implement, and test certifiable real-time UI software for automated aircraft operation
    • Build and maintain production-quality safety-critical C++ code
    • Visualize live and simulated flight data
    • Represent the team and its work in all technical forums

Basic Qualification

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
    • 5+ years of industry experience developing software for embedded, high performance or critical applications

Preferred Skills and Experience

    • 7+ years C or C++ experience
    • Thorough understanding of computer architecture, operating systems and networking
    • Experience developing graphical software to a detailed specification
    • Experience developing products from concept to launch
    • Familiarity with human-in-the-loop testing and certification campaigns
    • Familiarity with aviation instrumentation design
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed manner in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Extremely high attention to detail
Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time.

The estimated salary range for this position is $133,500 to $239,000.  At Reliable Robotics, we strive to provide competitive and rewarding compensation based on experience and expertise, as well as market conditions, location, and pay equity.  

In addition to base compensation, Reliable Robotics offers stock options, employee medical, 401k contribution, great co-workers and a casual work environment.
