Remedy Entertainment, the creator of Control®, Max Payne®, Alan Wake® and one of the leading independent game studios in the world is looking for a Cinematic Animator to create high-quality gaming experiences for the next generation of games
Are you passionate about creating memorable gaming experiences through a well-balanced mix of compelling narrative and intense action? As a Cinematic Animator, you will play a crucial role in creating high-quality, emotionally engaging cinematic sequences for our projects.

You will collaborate closely with directors, cinematic designers, and other animators to craft visually stunning animations that captivate our audience. Your ability to translate storyboards and concepts into compelling animation sequences will be essential in delivering the immersive experiences our company is known for.

What you get to do

    • You will create high-quality cinematic animations in line with the project's style and vision 
    • You will develop scenes from pre-visualization to final using motion-captured and hand-keyed animations 
    • You will work collaboratively with animators, designers, and directors to secure animation quality and make sure creative directions are met 
    • You will integrate animations into the proprietary engine while keeping up with technical constraints 
    • You will implement feedback from directors and other stakeholders to refine and enhance animation sequences 
    • You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to motion capture and animation data 
    • You will provide accurate time estimations for tasks and meet production deadlines 

What you bring to the role

    • An animation showreel displaying an understanding of weight, posing, body mechanics, timing and acting using hand-keyed or motion-capture animation 
    • Experience working with motion capture data for both body and face 
    • Excellent working knowledge of motion capture and animation software packages such as Motion Builder or Maya 
    • Solid skills in key frame animation (great sense of weight, timing and strong posing) 
    • A good understanding of film fundamentals including staging, cinematography, camera, layout, storytelling, lighting, and editing 
    • You thrive working in a team environment, sharing ideas as well as learning from others  
    • You are used to collaborating with colleagues across different departments and you can communicate and present your ideas in a clear way.
