We connect businesses with excess food to nonprofits, ensuring that good food doesn't go to waste, and instead supports those who need it most.
Description:
- What will you be doing? As a contracted Ops Dispatch Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading Replate’s day to day dispatch and scheduling operations for our 3rd Party Logistics Partners and Partner Orgs. This is an opportunity to be a part of the core operations of a mission-driven organization working on increasing food access and decreasing the environmental impact of food waste. This contract role is being offered at $25-27/hr DOE.
Required:
- Stable internet connection, able to support video calls.
- Proficiency with collaborative tools such as Notion, Google Workspace (including Sheets), Slack - or a demonstrated history of learning new tools quickly.
- Projected shifts to be: 8am - 5pm PST Tues and Fri (1hr lunch), and 9a - 11a on Weds. Off Mon, Thurs, and weekends.
- Food safety certification (Replate will reimburse), valid driver’s license, and proof of COVID vaccination.
- Once onboarded, you will excel if you are self-directed, communicative, proactive, and organized.
- Comfortable with customer service - there is a support element to this role, usually via chat or email. The dispatcher role supports mostly our 3rd Party Logistics Partners, and Partner Orgs (other Non-Profits we work with), though there are times you'd be responding to customers as well, and may need to take/make calls on occasion.
- This role reports to the Director of Operations, and trains under the Senior Operations Coordinator. The DoO organizes the team using a strengths based approach, and practices Servant Leadership. Ops believes in radical transparency, which requires a high level of communication, EQ, trust, and trustworthiness within our department.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in a remote work environment, bonus if you have startup or non-profit experience
- Preference given to candidates who are located in or near the San Francisco Bay Area
- Some flexibility to swap days (if possible) to cover PTO / sick time for other Ops members
- Any experience in dispatch roles, or using tools like Routific, OnFleet, Wrike, etc
- Familiarity with VOIP systems like Dialpad, and chat support clients such as tawk.to, LiveChat, or Intercom
- Bonus if you have experience with Jira, or no-code automation (Make, Zapier, etc), or Slack Code Block Kit
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish
Typical Tasks:
- Shadow Senior Ops Coordinator for onboarding, working as primary dispatch and live communications support
- Setting up all pickups for 3PLS and acting as main POC for all 3PLs / POP logistical support needs
- Field any initial logistical complaints or requests from clients, escalating to Senior Ops Coordinator if needed
- Close out Onfleet Tasks assigned to 3PLs in Replate Task Manager
- Attend and contribute to weekly departmental meeting(s)

- A fair wage (paid weekly), and a long term contract, with a possibility of converting to W-2 after 11/2026

$25 - $27 an hour
- Paid weekly via Square Teams as 1099-Contractor.
- An expected schedule of between 18 - 24 hours, depending on hourly rate, start date, availability, and business needs.
- Availability for Tuesdays and Fridays required. Other days can be discussed.
- Healthcare stipend available for California contractors only, but all US based locations may apply.
