This is a phenomenal opportunity to greatly influence the product trajectory of Replicant and pioneer advancements in the Conversational AI industry. We're on the hunt for a Director of Machine Learning to spearhead innovation in our top-tier virtual call center agent platform. The team you'll lead will manage the research, design, construction, and functioning of all Machine Learning capabilities within Replicant. Collaborating closely with our application engineering teams, you'll integrate cutting-edge ML technologies, such as LLMs, into our platform to provide unparalleled value to our customers on a large scale.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering Leadership peers and your team to:
- Build proof of concept ML implementations that deliver new customer value
- Research cutting edge ML technologies that will shape our product in the years to come
- Design, operate and scale our ML infrastructure
- Run a well organized team:
- Manage and prioritize work through road mapping and goal-setting frameworks
- Facilitate agile ceremonies
- Provide mentorship, feedback and guidance for your team members through the creation of individualized growth plans and measurable goals
- Use your technical expertise to provide leadership and oversight of projects covering all aspects of ML, from data engineering to ML ops and everything in between
- Build and support a collaborative working culture in a remote-first environment
What You'll Bring
- You have 3+ years of experience leading a machine learning team
- You have 2+ years leading remote software engineering teams
- You're used to ownership and accountability and have driven the execution of high-value projects end-to-end
- You have a strong background driving innovation with machine learning, you’ve built novel things and shipped them. You know the right time to launch and when to hold something back and you know how to ensure we won’t be drowned by technical debt
- You have excellent planning and communication skills and a vivid imagination. You’ve been able to translate abstract ideas into meaningful and incremental plans that project teams can align on.
- You are here to grow your team. The day-to-day is more than just tickets and you can speak to a well-established process for growth as well as the promotions you’ve championed
- A passion for making decisions with data. You know your way around Jira, Sheets and other tools and carve out the data you need to help inform key decisions
- Experience in Agile (Scrum) methodologies and ceremonies. You're a fan of incremental improvement culture and celebrating success
- Experience with Jira, Tello or Asana. We are all in on Jira and that should excite you! We strive to simplify our process to ensure minimal overhead
