Retro Biosciences is a well-funded, untraditional bio startup. Our mission is to extend healthy human lifespan by 10 years. We believe the deeper, underlying causes of age-related diseases are the untreated mechanisms of aging itself.
We’re building a mission-driven team of accomplished and kind individuals who embrace our startup culture of rapid iteration, transparency, and versatility.
We are hiring an Operations Admin who will support business and office operations. In this role you will contribute to the day-to-day processes that "keep the lights on", but you will also own various initiatives and special projects. You will report to the leader of our Finance and Office team.
About You:
You are a highly-organized person who can create operational efficiency in the midst of a fast-paced, every-evolving startup environment. You have a "no task too small" mentality and feel energized to roll up your sleeves and help with a variety of tasks and projects. You love variety in your day-to-day and crave a challenge. You feel confident in your ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks at once. You value a collaborative team, but you also feel comfortable working without extensive oversight.
In this role, you will:
- Assist with office opening and closing duties.
- Maintain kitchen and office supply inventory, ordering supplies as needed.
- Manage lunch and dinner ordering.
- Serve as basic or first-line IT support (printer setup, cables, connectors, conference room, troubleshooting).
- Perform standard administrative duties (scheduling meetings, document scanning/management, calendar management).
- Help plan and execute internal events (office parties, company outings, etc.).
- Help with occasional vendor sourcing and management.
- Cover occasional “front desk” operations including greeting visitors & deliveries.
- Be available for occasional weekend and holiday coverage.
You might thrive in this role if you:
- Have 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Have experience collaborating and communicating with team members of levels and job functions.
- Have experience working at a startup or in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrate proficiency in software tools such as Google Suite, Expensify, Asana, and Slack.
- Have experience balancing multiple competing priorities and resolving problems, often under time pressure.
- Are resourceful and can figure out how to solve unusual tasks.
- Are adaptable and happy to jump in and help with any task that comes your way.
- Are well-organized, with a sharp eye for detail.
$75,000 - $85,000 a year
Total compensation also includes generous equity and benefits including:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family
- 401(k) plan with 4% matching
- Unlimited time off and 10 company holidays per year
- Paid parental leave
- Annual learning & development stipend
- Daily company-sponsored lunch
