We are a well-funded, untraditional bio startup. Our mission is to extend healthy human lifespan by 10 years. We believe the deeper, underlying causes of age-related diseases are the untreated mechanisms of aging itself.

We are looking for a highly organized and self-motivated Office Administrator. You’ll be part and parcel with the Retro Ops team, and your primary responsibility will be to take care of smooth office operations. You’ll be juggling multiple balls at once sometimes, but affirmatively within the constraints of a healthy, happy working environment.

What you’ll do in this role:

    • looking for a dynamic team player

    • Kitchen and meal management:
    • Oversee the planning, ordering, tracking, and stocking of groceries
    • Manage lunch vendor
    • Plan dinners, send dinner order links, place orders, and ensure timely receipt and unpacking of dinners with necessary utensils

    • Office space and supply management:
    • Track and stock office supplies such as paper, post-its, pens, etc.
    • Provide support in setting up desks and computers for new employees
    • Handle basic IT support tasks, including maintenance of printers, troubleshooting, and fulfilling requests for cables, adapters, and extension cords

    • Shipping and deliveries:
    • Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, including sample shipping and courier services
    • Oversee purchased item pick-ups and arrange freight as needed
    • Sign for packages, inspect for damages, handle claim management, and move deliveries to designated areas
    • Manage mail and scan documents

    • Facilities support:
    • Manage plant watering systems
    • Respond to emergent requests from the facilities team

    • Front desk and visitor management:
    • Manage the lobby
    • Manage visitors by coordinating lunches, COVID tests, NDAs, and offering refreshments
    • Handle staff travel support, including hotels, flights, and transfers

    • Event and conference support:
    • Oversee the conference calendar 
    • Provide administrative conference support 
    • Conduct vendor research and assist in event organization
    • Set up seating, screens, and necessary presentation materials
    • Ensure proper clean-up after events

You might thrive in this role if you:

    • Have 2+ years in a high-volume, dynamic environment
    • BA / BS degree from a 4-year university
    • Are resourceful and can figure out how to solve unusual tasks
    • You move fast and maintain a high level of attention to detail, organization, and followthrough
    • Possess strong interpersonal skills and enjoy connecting with intellectually curious individuals
    • Must have experience with Google Workspace

We work on (1) partial reprogramming, (2) blood factors, and (3) autophagy to rejuvenate cell and tissue function with the ultimate aim of adding years to healthy human lifespan.  We are looking to expand our exceptional team at our Redwood City location. The annual salary range for this role is $70,000 - 75,000. Total compensation also includes generous equity and benefits. Benefits and perks:
