Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Human Resources to lead our HR function and partner with executive and operational leadership to drive organizational success. This role will be pivotal in shaping our culture, advancing our people strategy, and enabling business performance through forward-thinking HR practices.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned HR leader with a solid generalist background, experience in fast-paced environments (healthcare, distribution, or manufacturing), and a passion for employee engagement and development. This individual will lead initiatives that strengthen our high-performance culture while ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
Act as the principal HR advisor to executive and operational leadership teams.
Lead strategic people initiatives including organizational design, workforce planning, and succession management.
Translate business needs into HR strategies that drive performance and support growth.
Talent & Organizational Development
Oversee all talent management initiatives including performance management, talent reviews, and compensation planning.
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to attract and retain top-tier talent.
Drive organizational effectiveness through workforce planning, leadership development, and employee career pathing.
Culture & Engagement
Lead programs to enhance employee engagement, morale, and a sense of belonging across departments.
Promote and sustain a culture rooted in inclusion, transparency, collaboration, and service excellence.
Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure HR compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Lead internal investigations and resolve employee relations issues with fairness and discretion.
Support regulatory reporting and health & safety compliance efforts.
Operational HR Excellence
Oversee the execution of core HR programs, including compensation cycles, engagement surveys, and HR audits.
Leverage HR systems and analytics to measure KPIs (e.g., turnover, engagement, compliance metrics).
Manage and mentor the HR team to ensure consistent and high-quality HR service delivery.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Build strong partnerships with leaders across the organization to align HR strategy with business goals.
Serve as a trusted advisor and change agent to foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
Manage external HR vendors to ensure quality, compliance, and cost-efficiency.

Qualifications
10+ years of progressive HR experience, including roles in HR business partnership, talent strategy, and employee engagement.
2+ years in a leadership role in a distribution, logistics, healthcare, or manufacturing setting preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
Proven track record in leading HR initiatives that align with business strategy and drive results.
Deep understanding of employment law, HR compliance, and HR systems/analytics.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven, and evolving organization.
