As two fast-growing, patient-focused organizations, we are seeking an experienced General Counsel to serve as a strategic legal partner across both businesses.
Position Summary:
The General Counsel will lead all legal and compliance functions for both Revive RX and Way2Well. This role requires a proactive legal leader with strong experience in healthcare, telemedicine, pharmacy, and contract law, capable of navigating regulatory landscapes while supporting business growth. The position is based in Texas, with preference for candidates located in the Houston area.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the legal advisor to executive leadership teams at both companies.
Ability to understand complex legal and business issues and propose pragmatic solutions
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, and service-level agreements.
Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare laws and regulations, including HIPAA, telemedicine standards, and pharmacy operations.
Provide guidance on corporate governance, licensing, and risk management.
Oversee privacy and data protection strategies across digital platforms.
Advise on employment law matters, organizational policies, and internal investigations.
Lead and manage relationships with external legal counsel and manage legal budgets.
Responsible for developing, managing, and communicating department policies and procedures. Documents contract compliance program.
Expertly uses Contract Management System to maintain files, legal documents, and contract and vendor data information systems. Uses information systems to analyze contract and supplier trends to develop strategies and streamline processes.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; active license to practice law in the state of Texas.
Minimum 7 years of legal experience, ideally with a blend of law firm and in-house counsel roles.
Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation and regulatory compliance.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and business partnership skills.
Integrity, discretion, and strong analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, multi-entity environment.
Preferred Experience:
Strong background in healthcare, pharmacy, and telemedicine law, preferred.
Strong background in contract law.
Knowledge of FDA, DEA, and state board of pharmacy requirements.
