Rhombus is looking for a Security & Compliance Officer who will play a crucial role in enhancing our security and compliance frameworks, ensuring Rhombus exceeds customer expectations while adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of information security in SaaS service delivery environments, physical product compliance certification standards, international and domestic privacy laws and regulations, and operational compliance standards. You will be responsible for developing an organizational compliance program, managing various compliance initiatives, ensuring appropriate training and collaboration across all business functions and partner programs, and fostering a culture of security and compliance throughout the organization. 

What You'll Do

    • Manage information security matters and ensuring compliance with across stakeholder operations.
    • Oversee customer and vendor management in relation to information security and data privacy, including commercial contracting and related policy management.
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with physical product certification requirements, such as UL listing.
    • Facilitate the registration for licenses necessary to sell regulated products and/or services in regulated regions, e.g., licenses to market and sell alarm-monitoring services, etc.
    • Partnering with legal to develop and ensure compliance with domestic and international commercial product, information security, and privacy regulations.
    • Manage security incident response and reporting procedures, mitigating risks and exposure to breaches effectively.
    • Address privacy inquiries from end-users and customers, collaborate with legal, marketing and product development teams on privacy policies, notices, and oversight of data capture and use practices.
    • Develop and implement annual company privacy and information security policies for employees, ensuring appropriate training, understanding and compliance across the organization.

What We're Looking For

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in compliance roles, preferably in a technology or security-related industry.
    • Strong understanding of information security standards and regulations, including SOC II, ISO 27000, GDPR, FedRAMP.
    • Knowledge of privacy regulations and practices, with experience in crafting privacy notices and addressing privacy inquiries.
    • Experience with vendor management and conveying security expectations during the sales process.
    • Familiarity with physical product compliance requirements and international regulations.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
    • Ability to manage incident response procedures and mitigate security risks effectively.
    • Experience in developing and delivering training programs for employees.
This is a hybrid position based in Sacramento, CA. Candidates must be able to commute to the office as needed.

Compensation 
Base Salary: $120,000-$160,000

Additional forms of compensation, depending on the role, include uncapped commission, sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and equity in the company. Individual pay is determined based on the candidate's primary work/hiring location and additional factors, such as skills and experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Further details about compensation for the role can be discussed during the interview process.
