Rhombus is seeking a Channel Sales Engineer who will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth by collaborating with our channel partners to deliver exceptional physical security solutions to our clients. You will combine your technical expertise with sales acumen to support our partners in effectively positioning and selling Rhombus products and services. Reporting to Sales Engineering Manager, this person must project strong technical credibility and channel knowledge when interfacing with channel partners in enablement opportunities, growth initiatives, and when working with internal Rhombus teams as the voice of the channel partner.

What You'll Do

    • Act as a trusted advisor to channel partners and customers, providing ongoing support and guidance to ensure successful implementation and utilization of Rhombus solutions
    • Cultivate strong relationships with the channel partner organization, including sales teams, technical teams, and executive leadership, to drive collaboration and mutual success
    • Develop and deliver technical training sessions, workshops, and presentations to empower channel partners to effectively promote and sell Rhombus solutions
    • Utilize in-depth understanding of Rhombus' products and services to provide technical guidance and support to channel partners during pre-sales and post-sales activities
    • Collaborate with channel partners and customers to understand their specific security requirements and design customized solutions utilizing Rhombus products and services
    • Assist channel partners in preparing and delivering compelling sales proposals, technical documentation, and product demonstrations to prospective clients
    • Keep up with of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to provide valuable insights and recommendations to channel partners and internal stakeholders

What We're Looking For

    • 5+ years of experience in a technical sales or sales engineering role, preferably within the physical security industry
    • Strong technical background with expertise in network infrastructure, video surveillance, access control, and related technologies is preferred
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external technical vendors or large VAR resellers
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
    • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving business growth and exceeding sales targets
    • Flexibility to travel as needed to support channel partners and customers
    • BS/BA degree, or equivalent work experience
This is a remote position with up to 50% overnight travel. Candidates can be located anywhere in the US.
 
Compensation Range
Base Salary: $90,000 - $120,000
Estimated OTE (base salary + commission): $110,000 - $140,000

Additional forms of compensation, depending on the role, include uncapped commission, sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and equity in the company. Individual pay is determined based on the candidate's primary work/hiring location and additional factors, such as skills and experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Further details about compensation for the role can be discussed during the interview process.
