As a Sr. Technical Project Manager on the Manufacturing & Operations team, you will be responsible for the development, qualification, optimization, and production ramp-up of new technologies, including processes, and equipment for our new hardware products. You will act as a key liaison between internal teams and external manufacturing partners, ensuring smooth coordination and successful product launches. Based in Taipei, this position involves frequent travel within Taiwan, Southeast Asia, and annual trips to our U.S. headquarters.
What You'll Do
- Participate in engineering builds, reviewing design implementations, production processes, and equipment from a manufacturing perspective, with the ability to address critical issues as needed.
- Drive strategic goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to process and yield optimization, product quality control, and manufacturing integrity.
- Analyze, consolidate, and communicate project risks and progress to cross-functional teams and executive management, presenting clear resolution options.
- Act as the primary technical liaison between Rhombus engineering team and external manufacturing (ODM) partners, resolving any technical issues that arise.
- Develop and monitor efficient workflows between internal teams and external vendors to streamline the development and production process.
- Collaborate with manufacturers on test planning, equipment preparation, and swift resolution of any technical challenges to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the company to plan requirements, identify risks, and manage project schedules, ensuring clear communication at all levels.
- Influence technical responsiveness and operational flexibility while optimizing for quality and minimizing costs.
What We're Looking For:
- At least 8 years of experience in electronic product development.
- Experience working in/with Taiwan manufacturers (ODM/JDM/OEM) is required.
- Preferred background in electrical engineering or equivalent hardware engineering.
- Experience working in a U.S. startup environment is a plus.
- Proven track record in managing technical implementations from NPI to full-scale mass production.
- In-depth understanding of product lifecycle, tools, processes, and operational planning.
- Experience optimizing product yield and reducing costs post ramp.
