This hybrid position is based in the corporate office in Redwood Shores, CA and requires 3 in-office days per week. Only local candidates will be considered.
Who You Are:
The role will report into our corporate finance team (FP&A). This experienced and forward-thinking professional will support the FP&A and Operations teams in delivering comprehensive and accurate plans and operational forecasts that are both high-value and on time. The Senior Operations Finance Analyst will leverage strong analytical skills and attention to detail to interpret operational KPIs and translate into functional financial models. This role will also be responsible for preparing service pre-launch plans, various labor analysis, vehicle, insurance, fuel/charging, and other cost driver analysis, as well as projecting impact on revenue streams from changes in fleet operating schedules, billing rates, and rising charter business opportunities.
What You'll Do:
• Act as a finance business partner to corporate and field operations teams, providing actionable insights on revenue, cost, and profitability targets
• Collaborate with finance and accounting to incorporate pro forma and operational forecasts into the corporate budget and rolling forecast. Maintain operational forecast for all existing locations and business units
• Analyze operational financial results (budget vs. actual), identify inefficiencies, and collaborate with accounting to investigate and resolve variances
• Produce routine operational reports—such as budget vs. actual summaries—and prepare presentation materials for leadership reviews
• Perform variable‐costing analyses to support new location or product launches, ensuring operations teams have the data they need
• Support labor, insurance, asset financing and other costs structural reviews and 3rd party negotiations with relevant scenario impact analysis
• Execute ad-hoc financial analyses and assist with special projects to drive process improvements
What You Bring To Zūm:
• 5+ years experience in financial analysis, preferably with multi-unit operator.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field
• Strong analytical and financial skills
• Advanced spreadsheet model building skills as Microsoft Excel user (nested formulas, modeling, pivot tables, etc.), and experience with Google Suite
• Familiarity with NetSuite ERP and NetSuite Planning and Budgeting (NSPB) software preferred but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high growth environment, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting goals and deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills and curiosity to learn the transportation operations and consistently improve processes
The targeted base salary range for this role is listed in the compensation section below. Actual salary may be above or below this range based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. In addition, this position may include additional compensation in the form of equity or commissions. The targeted pay range for this role in US CA is: $114,00 to $155,000
