Reporting directly to the Design Director, you will be responsible for creating visually striking, impactful designs across a wide variety of formats. This role demands strong creative vision, exceptional technical ability, and the confidence to manage multiple projects from concept to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Creative Development: Generate, develop, and present design concepts that align with client objectives and brand guidelines. Projects will include race collateral, print assets, digital campaigns, itineraries, invitations, race posters, large-format event branding, and bespoke client requests.
Project Delivery: Take ownership of design projects—digital and print materials, social media graphics, presentations, and event collateral—ensuring work is completed on time, on brief, and to the highest standard.
Collaboration: Work closely with the wider Creative team, including Junior and Senior Designers, as well as other departments, to deliver cohesive and integrated campaigns.
Client Engagement: Contribute to client meetings and presentations, translating briefs into compelling visual solutions and presenting creative ideas with clarity and confidence.
Brand Guardianship: Ensure all outputs are consistent with brand guidelines and elevate the visual identity across every touchpoint.
Feedback & Refinement: Incorporate feedback from clients and colleagues constructively to sharpen and enhance final deliverables.
Industry Awareness: Stay informed on design trends, techniques, and tools to inject fresh thinking into your work.
Mentorship: Support and guide Junior Designers, fostering their professional development within the team.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related discipline.
Experience: Significant professional design experience, ideally within a creative agency or sports marketing environment. A portfolio demonstrating strong conceptual and executional skills is essential.
Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Knowledge of motion graphics and video editing software is an advantage.
Creative Ability: Proven talent for developing bold, innovative design solutions.
Detail-Oriented: A meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to delivering flawless work.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and justify creative choices effectively.
Team Spirit: Collaborative, approachable, and supportive, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
Organisational Skills: Excellent time management, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Client-Centric: Ability to interpret client needs and transform them into effective, visually engaging design outputs.
