The Opportunity 
As a Systems Integration Engineer at Rimsys, you will identify key requirements and needs around the integration of the Rimsys platform with various software applications currently used by our customers. The Systems Integration Engineer will report directly to the Systems Engineering Manager and meet with internal stakeholders and customers to plan integration approaches around a standard list of offerings while working alongside the core engineering team to build custom solutions on a customer by customer basis.

This role is available in the following locations: Pittsburgh, PA, Hybrid or Remote 

Time Zone Requirements
Our team operates on the East Coast time zone. 

Travel Requirements
Our team has regular on-site collaboration sessions. These occur one week per year at our Pittsburgh office. If you need to travel to attend this session, Rimsys will cover travel related expenses. 

How you’ll make an impact:

    • Review current customer integrations and support the migration of these systems to our current version (ideally under a standard list of offerings).
    • Review requirements from customers with regard to software systems and points of integration between the Rimsys platform and eQMS/eDMS, ERP, and/or PLM systems.
    • Identify ways to improve existing products or develop new products using emerging technologies.
    • Troubleshoot problems with existing products or systems in order to identify and resolve malfunctions.
    • Review existing products to determine if they can be improved or redesigned to meet new market needs.
    • Provide technical assistance to customers facing problems with existing products or systems.
    • Work with engineers to design new systems or products that meet customer needs.

What we’re looking for:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
    • 3 years of experience integrating complex enterprise systems through RESTful web technologies.
    • Experience building and maintaining RESTful API’s, ideally in PHP/Laravel.
    • Strong familiarity with Laravel/PHP, Kubernetes, and AWS infrastructure.
    • Proficiency with Snaplogic, Mulesoft, Boomi, Workato or other API Automation tools.
    • Ability to write and maintain customer-facing documentation.

We'll be extra excited if you have this experience:

    • Familiarity developing large scale SaaS applications as a software engineer, ideally using the Laravel/Vue ecosystem.
    • Previous experience working for a large medical device manufacturer, either as an IT resource or as a regulatory professional.
    • Proven track record of delivering complex integrations with limited resources.
    • Demonstrable experience using a customer focused approach, while adhering to traditional SaaS offerings as solutions to complex business needs.
