POSITION OVERVIEW:
The role is located at our Yonge & Eglinton Centre in Toronto, ON.
Reporting to the Property Manager, this position is responsible for assisting the Property Manager with managing the day to day operations of the site(s) within the assigned portfolio.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain accounting / invoicing procedures, including processing supplier invoices, entering purchase orders into Yardi;
- Reconciling chargebacks and purchase orders;
- Assist with developing operating budgets and reforecast;
- Work with vendors to ensure accounts are in good standing prior to end of year;
- Assist with tender packages by providing historical costs;
- Assist with the collection and entering monthly rents in Yardi;
- Review A/R and call tenants to address their inquiries and collet arrears;
- Prepare statement of accounts and correspondences to send to tenants;
- Ensure tenant billings and year-end adjustments are correct and as per lease agreement;
- Prepare and distribute year-end recoveries to all tenants;
- Prepare default and / or demand notices to tenants for non-payment of rent;
- Inform manager of any property, tenant or A/R issues;
- Reconcile and track specialty leasing agreements and associated rent;
- Review lease summaries;
- Train and support Property Administrator where applicable;
- Provide administrative support to the Property Manager;
- Other duties / projects as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in property management;
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
- Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook;
- Thrive in a fast paced, high volume work environment that constantly evolves and adapts;
- Organized and high attention to detail;
- Demonstrated problem solving skills.
