The Systems and Communications Administrator is a member of our all-school technology team and reports to the Associate Director of Operational Technology. This full-time, 12-month position is available immediately.

The successful candidate is a team player, willing to pitch in to serve the overall needs of the school as necessary. They will be ambitious, creative, self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. There are many opportunities to interact with the community beyond these key responsibilities and we value those who wish to immerse themselves in our community.

Key responsibilities include:

    • Phone systems and FiOS/analog accounts (Mitel / Verizon)
    • Emergency communications (School Messenger / Ruvna)
    • Emergency PA system (Valcom)
    • Chromebook management + filtering (Google / GoGuardian)
    • Printing (Papercut MF / HP printers / Sharp copiers)
    • Security Camera system (exacq NVR / Axis cameras)
    • Video conferencing (Zoom / Meet)
    • SSO start pages (Okta / Clever) and SSO connections
    • Rostering and software distribution/renewals (Clever / Adobe / etc.)
    • Proactively monitoring all of the above services from on and off site

Requirements:

    • Minimum 2 years experience managing similar systems in an enterprise or primary/secondary education environment
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills, including the ability to follow through to completion on multiple simultaneous tasks or projects
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including a high degree of attention to detail
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills and patience
    • Desire to learn and to stay abreast of emerging technologies
$75,000 - $85,000 a year
The above is our expected salary range for this role.
General departmental responsibilities typically include level 1 support, staffing our help desk, and participating in teaching and training as appropriate. We seek a candidate with a strong appreciation for the role of technology in learning and as a foundational component of school operations. A desire to contribute positively to the collaborative culture of the department is essential. Though not a requirement, the ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is a plus. Sabbatical:  Full time teaching faculty are eligible for a sabbatical after 10 years of employment.

Retirement:  Employees are eligible to join our Defined Contribution retirement plan through TIAA.  The school contributes 7% of an employee's annual salary to their retirement account.
