Description:
This role will be focused on maintaining our prototype/test vehicles, test rigs and dynos, performing routine maintenance, complex repair, and collaboration with our hardware team upgrading components. This position requires great attention to detail, excellent cross-team communication and documentation. Must be comfortable solving difficult challenges, ready to roll up the sleeves to expedite repair with a constant eye for quality. Must have experience with OEM diagnostic methodologies, and a logical troubleshooting approach.
 
 
This is what you’ll do:
·Create scripts/software to execute tests on Powertrain and Vehicle level dynamometers
·Running simulations and batch runs for sensitivity analysis
·Creation of representative duty cycles for different applications
·Support teams with results for component sizing and development
·Support creation of component and vehicle level durability cycles
·Provide durability cycle results to all the different component teams (battery, inverter, etc)
·Delivery of simulation results for multiple programs in a timely manner
·Co-relation of simulation models to real world data
·Continuously improve and develop simulation processes and capabilities used
·Maintain multiple streams of models of varying fidelity levels for different applications and projects
·Maintain co-simulation environments
·Perform advanced co-simulations
·Facilitate controls algorithm development and testing using simulation models
·Powertrain and propulsion modelling
·Batch runs of simulations and statistical analysis of results
 
 This is what you’ll need:
·BSME degree with in mechanical/automotive engineering
·3-5 years of experience related to automotive engineering
·Proficiency in Matlab / Simulink, Strongly preferred
·Proficiency in Amesim is favorable
·Ability to create simulation models from scratch   
·Experience working with multiple teams and diverse sets of people
·Detailed knowledge of powertrains, drivelines, the vehicle as a system including electric vehicle’s  
· Knowledge of electric vehicle components and modelling for those components, battery, inverter, electric machine, etc
·Ability to follow through and get things done without regular supervision
·Passionate about the quality of their work and requires minimal supervision
·Problem solving mentality and logical thinking
