Technical Training Manager, Service Operations

Full Time
·        Develop and manage all aspects of the Service and Collision Repair Training Groups for Rivian’s Service Organization
·        Build and maintain a program to train and certify both internal and external technicians
·        Create a curriculum to certify and level technicians
·        Design and build courses for virtual and classroom training
·        Perform training and certification to Rivian Service technicians
·        Partner with accredited automotive training schools to create training and certification programs by 3rd party partners
·        Support creation of technical publications for all service manuals (systems overview, parts, repair, labor, electrical, etc.) to support a
seamless training program
·        Support validation of repair procedures for accuracy (process, labor times, safety, etc.)
·        Support validation of the use of all special service tooling prior to implementation for use in the field
·        Partner with the Service Lab to create, validate, and conduct training
·        Support campaigns and containment initiatives with training and certification
·        Support cost analyst impact on different serviceability methods and processes
·        Provide ad hoc service support to the field to support the Service organization
·        Develop training needs analysis and forecast future growth of training based on Rivian’s vehicle population
·        Oversee the development of training facilities and identify the tooling needs
·        Work directly with Service Engineering to understand where training will be needed for Rivian vehicle repairs
·        Budget for the needs and growth of the Training Department
·        Support and proactively collaborate with Service Engineering, Field Service, Technical Publications, Service Parts, Quality, and Warranty
teams to enhance the capabilities of the skills of Rivian technicians.
·        Manage a team of professional trainers to build a world class training program
·        Automotive Technology/Technician Degree or equivalent experience
·        Experience creating and conducting training
·        Experience building and managing a team
·        Experience developing talent
·        10+ years of automotive experience
·        Experience creating OEM Specific Technician Training 
·        Ability to travel as needed
·        Must possess a valid driver’s license
·        Experience working in start-up environments
·        Knowledge of EV Powertrains and HV systems
·        Strong diagnostics experience
·        Strong written and communications skills
·        Strong organization skills with attention to detail
·        Take the initiative, use independent judgement, and collaborate with cross functional teams
