In this role, you will develop and scale training programs to support Rivian’s Manufacturing organization including: Stamping, Body, Paint, Assembly, Battery, Quality, Safety and Problem Solving across all of our manufacturing facilities. Specifically, you’ll design and deploy training on the Rivian Production System and will be responsible for the learning and development of all employees involved in physically bringing our products to life. You will develop our onboarding and continuing education curriculums including apprentice programs, cross training and our certification process, as well as refining our business processes to help Rivian deliver world class vehicles at scale.


THIS IS WHAT YOU'LL DO:
-        Developing and maintaining our onboarding and on-the-job training for team members, front line leads, supervisors, and leaders indoctrinating them in the Rivian Production System and Rivian culture
-        Hire, manage and lead a team of learning professionals and SME’s to deliver engaging and effective and learning programs and solutions 
-        Develop programs to ensure team members are cross-trained and certified to deliver flexibility and variance in skills across the organization
-        Work collaboratively across functions and manage stakeholders in Manufacturing Leadership and cross-functionally representing the Learning & Talent Org and broader People Org
-        Measure and communicate the effectiveness of the learning programs you oversee – Develop KPIs and evaluation protocols for tracking and improving internal training processes and programs – communicate impact and key learnings to C-suite and executive leadership
-        Demonstrate operational excellence and the ability to relentlessly prioritize  
-        Monitor the health of the business and partner with leadership and cross functional business partners to identify and address opportunities and solutions where learning can positively impact the business
-        Scale training programs with cutting-edge learning and development tools across various locations, modalities and needs
-        Ensure all training programs reflect and are aligned to Rivian’s mission and core values
-        Ensure our training programs are consistent, replicable, and scalable as the manufacturing org grows and evolves
-        Be responsible for the budget and management of our physical training space and footprint  
 
 
THIS IS WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Minimum Requirements:
-        An experienced leader who can set strategy, define and execute a plan, and measure and iterate as needed  
-        Ability to manage change and maintain an agile mindset
-        A strong communicator (written and verbal) as well as someone who values collaboration and getting things done together
-        Comfortable operating in highly ambiguous environments
-        Willing to identify where process is needed and drive consensus amongst partner workgroups
-        Someone who happily embraces the pace and pressure of building a company from the ground up
 
Preferences:
-        5+ years in Manufacturing or Learning & Development, 3+ years in people management
-        Understanding of the automotive and/or manufacturing or lean industry and practices
-        Designed an end-to-end training program including QA and metric management
-        Deep knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, learning and development tools, and project/program management
-        Humility
-        Belief that there is always room to improve
