Full Time
       Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice processes. Vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
       Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on operational activities
       Implement all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance
       Develop in-house systems and procedures to meet the needs of external customers
       Respond to quality issues by putting in containment actions, full analysis, poka-yokes (error proofing), and implementing short-term and long-term countermeasures
       Update quality documentation and communicate to carry forward lessons learned from quality concerns in new customer contracts
       Ensure that plant schedule for vehicle builds is fulfilled by operation deliverables
       Introduce new systems and procedures where appropriate
       Undertake internal and process audits of the Quality Management System (QMS)
       Establish and refine quality sign-off instructions, standards and documentation
       Report against agreed quality metrics
       In conjunction with the Supplier Quality Assurance function, reduce the effect of non-conforming supplier materials on the production area quality
       Produce written reports and make presentations
       Undertake continuous training and development
       Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
       Identify business improvement opportunities within the organization
       Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required
       Develop, implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility
       Help set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports
       Ensure KPIs are met
       Input and hold responsibility for team budgets

       Review, implement and update company records e.g. training matrices, performance reviews, risk assessments  Communicate KPIs from the strategic annual plan so that each employee is aware
       Provide technical expertise to the team
       Manage contractors on site to ensure they meet legal and company requirements

       Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or other related field
       or 6+ years of relevant experience
       5+ years of relevant paint experience
       Automotive paint application experience (preferred)
       Hands-on programming experience in booth or work cell to Paint Application Automation (robotics)
       PLC experience such as Allen Bradley (preferred)
       Experience with paint robotics systems by Durr, ABB or Fanuc
       Hands-on experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and computer-controlled systems
       Knowledge of manufacturing methods/procedures and process technology
       Hands-on experience with process devices such as motor drives, sensors, AC/DC converters, encoders, lifts, conveyors, etc
       Ability to present complex technical information related to achieving goals of the department
       Proven written and verbal communication at all levels within the organization with good negotiation skills
       Able to anticipate needs and deliver timely, relevant solutions and actions
       Proven design & implementation of Continuous Improvement themes with savings
       Knowledge of value stream mapping to reduce waste and improve output in a production environment (preferred)
       Experience in process layout and optimization incorporating asset utilization (preferred)
       Background in manpower distribution based on production and efficiency targets
       Must be able to troubleshoot, instruct repair techniques, & assist if needed for root cause analysis in stressful situations
