THIS IS WHAT YOU’LL DO:
·       Responsible for design of charging product related electromechanical components, sealing systems, conductors, insulators, wire-harnesses, and other components
·       Design of sheet metal and plastic enclosure systems with strong emphasis on stamping, extrusions, injection molding, and thermo-forming
·       Packaging of power electronics to include thermal management, isolation, EMC, RF transmission, and shock/vibration with detailed designs in 3D/2D
·       Work with other cross-functional team members to develop packaging concepts and productize them for mass production
·       Select component suppliers working with Supply Chain, and support/organize supplier meetings
·       Release components in Enovia Systems, and BOM management
·       Define GD&T requirements and performance tolerance stack up analysis
·       Support cross-functional EE development by defining circuit board size, board connectors, and mounting definitions
·       Support prototype build by working with manufacturing team
·       Resolve engineering issues and implement short- and long-term solutions
·       Report to management on development status
·       Work with Program Management to meet all deliverables in time
 
THIS IS WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
·       Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering field, MS preferred
·       10+ years of product design and development in OEM environment
·       Minimum 5 years of professional work experience in developing EVSE products
·       Familiarity working with cross-functional industrial/studio design A-surfaces
·       Knowledge or experience with EVs and EVSE design
·       Ability to work independently and manage several challenging projects simultaneously
·       Experience with Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence, etc)
·       Shall be familiar with SAE, UL, NEC, and IEC Standards and its certification processes
·       Understanding of design considerations per UL 2202 and UL 50
·       Experience with design tradeoff studies
·       Knowledge of manufacturing fabrication processes such as sheet metal forming, injection molding, and welding
·       Expert with CATIA V6 software including part design, assembly design, and drafting
·       Proficient with design release process and change management tools
·       Knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
·       Proficient with Microsoft office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Visio.

THIS IS WHAT YOU’LL DO:

    • Packaging of power electronics with detailed designs and creating 2D prints
    • Mechanical design of components and its packaging
    • Select component suppliers working with Supply Chain, and Manage suppliers 
    • Release components in Enovia Systems, and BOM management 
    • Perform GD&T and tolerance stack ups
    • Define packaging requirements with working with System Engineering team and generate technical requirements (CTS), and procedures
    • Develop thermal design for Power Electronics
    •  Define circuit board size, board connectors, and mounting definitions
    • Support prototype build by working with manufacturing team
    • Resolve engineering issues and implement short- and long-term solutions
    • Performs all other relevant duties and assignments as directed by the Director of Engineering
    • Report to management on development status
    • Work with Program Management to meet all deliverables in time

THIS IS WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

    • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering field.
    • Minimum 5 years of professional work experience in developing EVSE products
    • Knowledge or experience with EVs and EVSE design
    • Ability to work independently and manage several challenging projects simultaneously
    • Automotive and EVSE product Supply Chain Experience 
    • Shall be familiar with SAE, UL, NEC, and IEC Standards and its certification processes
    • Experience with schematic capture, simulation, PCB layout, and BOM management.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing fabrication processes such as sheet metal forming, injection molding, wiring harness 
    • Proficient with CATIA V6 software including part design, assembly design, and drafting
    • Knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
    • Proficient with Microsoft office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Visio.
