This is what you’ll do:
·       You’re responsible for the complete development and delivery of the Validation program for Rivian Electronics and components. The Role requires high levels of initiative, independent judgement, and indirect leadership capability. 
·       Develop, mentor, and lead a team of engineers in test automation and validation for in-house Rivian electronics and distribution systems.
·       Responsible to define and refine the master validation strategy for Rivian electronics
·       Work closely with all aspects of the electrical team (systems/integration/design) to build out and drive validation schedules.
·       Support the review of internal and external durability test plans across multiple domains.
·       Continually build out and ensure the Rivian validation lab is state of the art
·       Highly optimize validation strategies and data collection metrics to meet Rivian quality targets and long-term goals
·       Develop new test methodologies and test cases for electronics and electrical systems
·       Work with component design engineers in support of data analytics.
 
This is what you’ll need:
·       10+ years experience on a product development team on complex electronics
·       BS+ in Engineering or Science or similar technical degree required
·       Deep understanding of ISO16750/GMW3172/DO-160/MIL-STD 217 or other industry validation standards
·       First Principles thinking about validation and validation requirements
·       High Communication Ability in technical and nontechnical domains
·       High level analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex.
·       Ability to indirectly influence and guide engineers
·       Deep understanding of the bathtub curve
