This is what you’ll do:
·Lead cross-functional teams to drive “Always Learning” strategy: driving Design In Quality, Build In Quality.
·Lead cross-functional teams on complex problem solving projects driving product and process quality, safety, delivery, cost and productivity goals.
·For business unit, develop and own the metric for effective problem solving with the goal of Zero Repeats.
·Accelerate large scale culture establishment to minimize variation and waste through structured problem solving and lean methods and tools in everything we do.
·Develop, coach, and train the Rivian team members on the Rivian first principles of Problem Solving (Problem Identification, Containment, Root Cause, Corrective Action, and Prevent Recurrence).
·Develop, coach, and train the Rivian team members on the Rivian problem solving tools and methods including Practical Problem Solving, 8D, DMAIC, DFSS and Shainin.
·Work directly with Rivian functional teams and the supply base to drive robust problem solving.
·Take initiative to apply expertise innovatively in support of organizational vision that addresses critical business issues and focuses on developing long term solutions.
This is what you’ll need:
·Bachelors of Science in Engineering, or related field
·Strong statistical and problem solving capability
·Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt with demonstrated leadership and results
·8-10 years’ experience with leading large scale continuous improvement activities
·Ability to manage multiple projects across varying geographic locations
·Willingness to work in a strong cross functional environment
·Proven technical knowledge and ability to collaborate with engineering and suppliers
·Comfortable working in a manufacturing / production environment
