Carbon Neutral Implementation Lead

This is what you’ll do:
·Drive the reduction of Rivian’s carbon footprint in both strategy and execution/implementation
·Engage with organizations and leaders across the organization with a heavy focus on implementing carbon neutrality efforts across Rivian. This includes but is not limited to manufacturing, supply chain, design engineering, charging, and retail verticals.
·Research, develop, and implement project roadmaps for renewable energy, net-zero carbon, and other programs focused on environmental impact
·Identify, prioritize, and manage Rivian’s efforts related to carbon life cycle assessments, product carbon footprint analysis, renewable energy implementation, and energy efficiency
·Identify carbon reduction opportunities that align with our internal goals and with ESG (environmental, social, governance) investor expectations
·Establish an energy tracking baseline and CO2 emissions baseline by collaborating with the building management systems team
·Lead efforts to investigate carbon credits and determine if implementation aligns with our strategies
·Add subject matter expertise to help strengthen non-profit partnerships related to carbon footprint
·Solidify success criteria and milestones for carbon neutrality
·Help drive an employee incentive system to reduce carbon footprint in the workplace
·Develop and improve internal processes to drive execution efficiently
This is what you’ll need:
·Bachelor’s degree in Technical (Engineering, Math, Science) or Business. Non-degreed candidates will be evaluated that can demonstrate exceptional backgrounds and ability to do the job
·5+ years seniority based on years of industry experience in a field related to renewable energy, carbon neutrality, LEED building design, agricultural/eco-tech, manufacturing
·Experience leading indirect or direct teams through programs, org structure, or ongoing operations.
·Deep knowledge of Program/Project Management and Process Development
·Breadth of exposure and demonstrated understanding of multiple company functions and how they connect. Ex: Engineering, Manufacturing, Facilities, Retail, Service, and Finance
·Demonstrated ability to solve ambiguous, cross-functional problems and set execution plans
·Highly motivated self-starter and constructive team-player
·Strong interpersonal skills, resiliency, and ability to transition from key influencer to confident decision maker
·Ability to identify “next steps” independently and execute on a plan with significant autonomy
·Ability to have impactful conversations that educate stakeholders and influence cross-functional teams
