Responsibilities

    • Lead technical collaboration with foundry partners - including but not limited to - process selection, device benchmarking, foundry collateral schedule negotiation and delivery, process qualification, ramp readiness, etc.
    • Work closely with foundries on silicon process, device and yield issues. 
    • Participate in technology development, device engineering, and ongoing sustaining engineering activities within the technology group. 
    • Work with foundry partners and internal design teams on device level electrical data analysis including SPICE simulations for PPA benchmarking. 
    • Drive thorough investigation of root cause, and solutions to process/yield issues and its impact on product production, performance, reliability and schedule. 
    • Manage and mitigate technology risks for multiple projects in parallel. 
    • Engage parties in decision-making and work towards timely closure and thorough follow- through.
    • Build essential internal and external relationships across all levels (engineering to senior management) at suppliers.

Requirements

    • Experience in semiconductor process R&D and manufacturing.
    • Experience with process qualification and yield enhancement.
    • Deep knowledge of CMOS device physics and process at bleeding edge technology nodes and industry competitive landscape.
    • Experience collaborating with design (analog & digital) in these technologies.
    • Demonstrated prior experience and success solving highly complex technical problems under a very aggressive schedule is critical.
    • Good data analysis, problem solving, and very strong communication skills required.
    • Experience with new product qualification at foundry partners including volume ram and yield improvement
    • Experience with running SPICE model simulations for PPA benchmarking 
    • Self-motivated and schedule oriented is expected.
    • Ability to work well in a team and be productive under aggressive schedules.

Education and Experience

    • PhD, Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in technical subject area.
