We’re looking for a Senior Motion Designer & Animator to join our Brand team. This role will collaborate across the organization with Product, Growth, and Communications to concept and develop video that demonstrates how Ro helps people meet their health goals. This role supports all of Ro’s care verticals: dermatology, fertility, weight management and men’s health and reports into a Creative Director on the Brand team. 
This is an opportunity for an Animator to raise the bar on Ro’s video creative excellence, and build styles and templates that will build the Ro brand for the long-term. This person will be responsible for developing video across channels, from paid & organic social, to site, to TV— all in line with Ro’s business priorities. The person in this role also has the opportunity to manage freelancers and external partners.

What you'll do:

    • Handle video edits with motion graphics across all channels, from 30-second spots to Instagram reels, how-to videos, and TV spots
    • Integrate animation in a variety of styles across platforms, while building a wider motion graphics system for Ro
    • Collaborate daily with designers, copywriters, growth channel managers, and Creative Directors to concept and execute on projects
    • Bonus skills: video production knowledge, ability to operate a camera and handle basic lighting for in-house shoots

What you'll bring:

    • 5+ years motion graphic, video editing and animation experience
    • A creative POV beyond execution and editing. You’re ready to concept, ideate and find solutions to creative problems
    • Extensive knowledge of After Effects and Premiere Pro, with working knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
    • Knowledge of 3D render engines a plus
    • Knack for music, sound effects and timing 
    • Deep channel expertise. You know what works for TV,  Instagram, and Tiktok. You’re able to concept and develop video that works across all platforms.
    • Ability to function autonomously, meeting deadlines and managing details with ease
    • Ability to welcome creative feedback from a variety of stakeholders
    • Strong collaborative streak, with a team-player mentality; willing to jump in and help out wherever needed
The target base salary for this position ranges from $94,400 to $121,000, in addition to a competitive equity and benefits package (as applicable). When determining compensation, we analyze and carefully consider several factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. These considerations may cause your compensation to vary.

Ro recognizes the power of in-person collaboration, while supporting the flexibility to work anywhere in the United States. For our Ro’ers in the tri-state (NY) area, you will join us at HQ on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For those outside of the tri-state area, you will be able to join in-person collaborations throughout the year (i.e., during team on-sites).
