Come be a core member of Ro’s Information Technology Engineering team. This is a non-managerial, hands-on individual contributor role working with market-leading vendors to build, operate and maintain Ro’s internal systems. You will be responsible for providing a frictionless and efficient user experience for our team members, as we collectively work to bring an amazing healthcare experience to our patients. As a Senior IT Engineer, you’ll build and operate a variety of systems ranging from end-user endpoint configuration, cloud infrastructure provisioning, SaaS application security and more - all while utilizing automation toolsets to scale operations and improve reliability. This role reports directly to the IT Engineering Manager and will work closely with other internal technology teams.

What You'll Do:

    • Collaborate with IT, Security and Risk Management teams to ensure maximum protection of Ro’s assets
    • Contribute to the development and deployment of Ro’s zero trust plan across device and user identity
    • Manage and tune devices to ensure optimum performance and a wonderful user experience
    • Configure SaaS applications with secure defaults to fit our environment
    • Utilize infrastructure-as-code to standardize configuration management
    • Develop and implement automations that simplify and scale system management
    • Create and maintain project implementation plans and schedule
    • Provide support to issues escalated to the engineering team
    • Participate in on-call rotation every ~2 months

What You'll Bring:

    • 3 - 5 years as a Sr IT Engineer with proven experience managing projects and implementing new technologies
    • Broad understanding of endpoint management capabilities (MDM, BYOD, MAM) across platforms
    • Familiarity with provisioning workloads on a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP)
    • Experience managing a cloud-based IT environment including Okta, Google Workspace and Slack
    • Proficiency in interacting with APIs via bash, python, or no/low-code tool like Okta Workflows
    • A keen eye to spot the missing { in a JSON object
    • Ability to move quickly and learn new technologies
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills
    • Passion for building and maintaining a superior IT hygiene posture and user experience

The target base salary for this position ranges from $144,000-$160,000, in addition to a competitive equity and benefits package (as applicable). When determining compensation, we analyze and carefully consider several factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. These considerations may cause your compensation to vary.

Ro recognizes the power of in-person collaboration, while supporting the flexibility to work anywhere in the United States. For our Ro’ers in the tri-state (NY) area, you will join us at HQ on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For those outside of the tri-state area, you will be able to join in-person collaborations throughout the year (i.e., during team on-sites).
