The Position 
The Senior Associate, Student Information Systems, will help ensure that Rocketship supports student information compliance at our schools in all regions. The Associate will design, implement, and improve student information services across multiple business functions outlined below.  This position reports to the Associate Director, Student Information Systems, and works cross-functionally with National and school-level teams within Rocketship. 

Responsibilities

    • Support Student Information Managers in student information maintenance, including data quality checks, state reporting certification, attendance reporting, and troubleshooting.
    • Track and dashboard enrollment actuals for all schools and ensure accountability by communicating status to internal stakeholders.
    • Generate, review, and submit all non-revenue related reporting for all schools, including but not limited to Charter 20 Day Report, CBEDS, SARC Report, etc.
    • Content specialist on the following student information functional areas: Cumulative files, Truancy, Attendance process, Student Health Records and Immunizations which includes process improvement, training of school staff, tracking on status, and internal audits.
    • Serve as a helpdesk for school-based staff on all areas of functional ownership
    • Support Finance team and broader Network support team with Student information related request promptly and create process for easy dissemination of critical information.
    • Management, updating and ongoing improvement of school website pages.
    • Build relationships with Authorizer and District staff around student information topics and ensure there is strong communication among all parties.
    • Support on special projects as needed.

Qualifications

    • B.A. or B.S. Degree in relevant field: Business, Finance/Accounting, IT/IS
    • 1 years professional experience in School Operations preferred but not required 
    • Experience in planning and executing business services projects
    • Ability to build trust, relationships, and credibility quickly with people in various roles at all levels of the organization, especially at school sites
    • Ability to independently and effectively manage time in an environment with multiple work streams and competing priorities
    • Track record for delivering results through successful service design and implementation, ideally in a client-facing, change management, or consulting role

Work Location
Redwood City, CA preferred. The role requires your own independent transportation to and around the Bay Area Regional offices and schools. Candidates in other Rocketship regions will be considered. 
Periodic travel outside of California will be required, but is estimated to be less than 10% of the Senior Associate’s time.

Compensation
The salary for this position starts at $71,000.

Compensation:
