Over 100,000 developers use our product to innovate faster and decrease time to market while maintaining a best-in-class customer experience. Rollbar is used by some of the best engineering teams in the world, including Twilio, Salesforce, Zendesk, and Twitch.

We are looking for our first Developer Advocate to help define what developer evangelism looks like at Rollbar. You will be responsible for building, engaging, and educating our developer community. As a Developer Advocate, you will build our community through meetups, talks at conferences, and social media engagement. You will also help adoption by developing content — video tutorials, writing articles and blog posts, speaking on webinars and more.

This is an ideal role for someone who is a passionate coder, writer, and communicator that can move effortlessly between technical details and product strategy.

You will:

    • Develop creative and diverse ideas to promote engagement and adoption of Rollbar among developers
    • Champion Rollbar by presenting at conferences, events, meetups and webinars
    • Maintain an active presence in online and social channels to establish thought leadership that’s relevant to developers and technical influencers
    • Monitor and contribute to a variety of platforms, blogs, and forums, such as StackOverflow, GitHub, and Twitter
    • Publish content including technical tutorials, guides, blog posts, videos, and more to help existing and prospective users get the most out of Rollbar
    • Become a trusted and recognized thought leader for customers, partners, and prospects
    • Influence the product roadmap and market positioning with insights about our product and messaging gathered from the developer community

You have:

    • 5+ years of combined work experience software engineering, sales engineering, and/or developer advocacy experience
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills; experience speaking to both small and large audiences at tech conferences, hackathons, meetups
    • Ability to deliver presentations, demos, write compelling technical blog posts, and communicate technical content to developers
    • Ability to communicate sophisticated information so that it is easily understood by non-technical users, as needed
    • Passionate and energetic personality, self-starter who takes initiative and can work independently and lead projects in a fast-paced environment
    • Demonstrable presence with engaged followers in social and technical channels such as StackOverflow, GitHub, Twitter, Twitch, etc
    • Willingness to travel to speak and attend meet-ups, conferences, and related industry events post-pandemic
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent practical experience
