The in-house Graphic Designer will be responsible for the graphic design needs for the brand and portfolio.  This includes the design of all marketing materials, print and digital ads, enhancing of all visuals, website, and brand identity design.
 
The Graphic Designer will act as our brand guardian, work as a proactive member of the marketing team across the entire portfolio and liaise with any third-party suppliers across all creative outputs. This includes but is not limited to freelance graphic designers, media or advertising platforms, and our digital agency where required.  The role will also include taking a lead role in improving UX and visual experience for all outputs across the portfolio.
 
This role requires someone who is a self-starter, has a proactive attitude, is meticulous about time management and has a flair to deliver creative, visually lead communications. Ideally you will be someone who understands our target audiences, what makes them tick and how we can showcase our brand to capture their attention. You will be reporting to the Head of Marketing and will work closely with the wider marketing team.
 
The Graphic Designer will support the marketing team in producing the overall strategic direction of our artwork and content distribution strategy across our online and offline channels, deliver campaigns that achieve results and proactively work with the wider team to design and create content which drives sales and meets set ROI.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):
 
Design
·         Graphic design of a large range of marketing and brand materials, e.g.
o   Digital artwork
o   Brochures
o   Online and print ads (posters, flyers, banners, vinyls)
o   Signage, hoarding, show flat routes and collateral mock-ups
o   Website design and content
o   App design and content
o   Residence logos & overall brand visuals
o   Creative templates
o   Business cards & branded office materials
o   Branded marketing merchandise giveaways
o   Tender presentation design
o   Fair materials
o   Video collateral
o   Award submissions
o   Ad-hoc B2B collateral
·         Support the team to innovate and improve the brand and keep brand guidelines up to date.
·         Support the team in rolling out the brand strategy to keep the brand fresh and inject new ideas and designs across all executions
·         Write headlines and supporting copy for relevant graphic executions across online and offline artwork executions as required
·         E-mail template design in HTML (HTML e-mail coding is preferred but optional) across our platforms: MailChimp, StarRez and HubSpot
·         Create video, .gif, HTML 5 and responsive artwork for various platforms as required. Knowledge of Premier Pro or similar editing software is essential.
·         Work collaboratively with other team members plus freelance designers to ensure a consistent, integrated brand perception and visual identity.
·         Keep abreast of the latest standards, changes, trends, technology and equipment in the graphic and web design field.
·         Work with the wider team in creating and refining overall content, design and copy across all marketing collateral.
·         Troubleshooting and problem solving.
 
Digital and Brand Marketing
·         Work together with the Marketing Team on web design assets, new ECRM templates, visuals and any digital projects relevant to the sales cycle
·         Support the optimisation of visuals and templates for SEO, mobile responsiveness, site speed, functionality, user journey, UX/UI and relevancy for the platform
·         Create content and visuals for Social Media, blogs, promotions and campaigns
·         Create visual content to support wider sales and marketing objectives (promotions, campaigns and user generated content)
·         Create and distribute creative campaign artwork for third party media activity including Google Display network ads, YouTube advertising, programmatic display ads and blog artwork
·         Monitor the market to see what our competitors are up to and share this insight with our team to ensure we stay ahead of trends.
 
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
·         Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent qualification in marketing, design or related field.
·         Experience in a design capacity in an in-house or client side role.  Experience within the Student Accommodation, property or hospitality sector is beneficial.
·         Professional experience in designing high quality brand content and design for web, desktop and mobile.
·         Experience or knowledge of code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Google Analytics) is preferable.
·         Knowledge of working with CMS and CRM platforms.
·         Excellent communication skills and ability to present ideas and creative to internal senior stakeholders.
·         Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, Premier Pro and InDesign).
·         High level of written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills. 
·         Writing, editing, copywriting and proof-reading skills.
·         The ability to refine other people’s ideas and come up with new ones to create a highly designed visual experience.
·         Self-learning and able to learn new tools quickly
·         Creative thinker with a proactive and innovative approach.
·         Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
·         Exceptional attention to detail.
·         Ability to work to tight deadlines and excels when working in very fast paced, collaborative environment.

·         Ability to immerse yourself in our local markets to gain understanding of what will resonate with these various audiences whilst maintaining a similar graphic identity across all outputs.
·         Ability to speak and write in different languages (particularly German) preferred, but not essential.
