We are seeking a HR Generalist to help support our Operations team in Spokane, WA and mature our People Operations (HR function) as our business continues to grow. The ideal candidate for this role is an expert in fostering positive work cultures for high performing teams. They have a great track record of handling employee relations issues with empathy and positive results. They understand the needs of the business and are able to support their partners in achieving key business objectives. They want to learn and grow with Rover!

Once hired, the HR Generalist will partner closely with members of our Operations and Customer Service teams to support HR strategies for our employees. Your Responsibilities:

    • Create a positive and productive work environment for our employees
    • Support new processes and policies which will help us scale our culture as we grow
    • Serve as link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering HR and safety policies, and helping resolve work-related problems
    • Serve as one of the HRIS Administrators entering new hire information, pay changes, status changes and benefits
    • Support Employees and their Dogs in integrating into an Office Environment by delivering Dog Orientation and managing Dog related inquiries
    • Provide guidance to management and employees on a broad base of HR issues such as employee performance and training
    • Assist with new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward organizational objectives
    • Has knowledge and experience handling benefit questions and concerns. Ability to act as the point of contact to facilitate those questions and use judgment regarding when to elevate to the next level
    • Supports and presents material to the Operations Team regarding HR Policies, Benefits, as well as Learning and Development
    • Provides ongoing HR support to annual processes like Performance Management, Compensation Reviews, Employee Surveys, Benefits Open Enrollment
    • Oversees the accuracy of employee digital files
    • Will be responsible for supporting audits and maintenance
    • Will also offer thoughts and ideas regarding HR program changes that should be implemented
    • Provide departmental support to HR team members
    • Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
    • Be the liaison between HR, Spokane office, and Operations Teams

Your Qualifications:

    • 2+ years work experience in an HR Generalist/Business Partner role, preferably in a high-growth environment and supporting Operations/Customer Service and Support functions
    • Broad knowledge of law affecting Human Resources, OSHA, FMLA and HR practices
    • Empathetic, vulnerable and passionate about driving the right strategic business outcomes
    • Experience in successfully resolving complex and sensitive employee relations issues
    • Demonstrated attention to detail, the ability to manage and manipulate highly sensitive data, and perform analyses of such data to inform policies and practices
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience partnering with all levels of employees, managers and leaders
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills; a role model for the use of the concepts and skills we teach and exceptional commitment to our Core Values
    • Experience working with G-Suite Products and a variety of HR Information Systems is a plus
    • Experience working with a non-exempt workforce
