We are looking for a Director, Head of IT to lead the strategy, leadership, and operations of Rovio’s enterprise IT function. This highly autonomous role focuses on delivering secure, scalable, and efficient IT systems that support Rovio’s people and core business functions, including HR, Finance, workplace technology, and end-user computing. 

Acting as the principal on internal IT matters, you will ensure Rovio’s enterprise IT systems and infrastructure enable productivity, protect company assets, and provide a seamless experience for employees across the organisation. This role is critical to enabling our games. marketing, central services and corporate teams can drive our business forward. 

You will work closely with Sega of Europe to leverage the wider Sega’s IT capabilities and be responsible for Rovio’s IT services across our geographically diverse company with locations in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Spain, Canada and Turkey. This is a hybrid role based in our Espoo office, and we require regular onsite presence. If you’re not currently located in Finland, we offer relocation support.

You will have impact and fun at work by:

    • Defining and executing Rovio’s IT roadmap for corporate and workplace technology.
    • Overseeing IT systems across HR, Finance, and corporate functions to ensure reliability and integration.
    • Leading world-class IT services for end-users across Rovio globally.
    • Owning Rovio’s enterprise IT security posture and safeguarding critical systems and data.
    • Driving a culture of proactive, responsive, and high-quality IT support.
    • Mentoring and developing a high-performing IT team.
    • Managing IT budgets with transparency and measurable ROI.
    • Ensuring alignment with SEGA’s enterprise IT systems and processes.
    • Building strong vendor and partner relationships to optimise services.
    • Anticipating business needs and adopting new IT solutions that improve efficiency and employee experience.

Experience and skills we are looking for:

    • Solid experience in senior IT leadership roles, shaping and executing technology strategies.
    • Proven ability to build, lead, and mentor diverse technology teams.
    • Expertise in managing IT budgets and demonstrating business value from technology investments.
    • Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT) and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR).
    • Broad knowledge across IT domains including enterprise systems, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and end-user computing.
    • Strong awareness of emerging technologies (e.g., AI, SaaS, automation) and their business applications.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for senior stakeholders.
    • A collaborative approach with proven ability to align with leaders, technical teams, and external partners.
    • Strong financial planning and procurement expertise within IT.
    • A thorough understanding of cybersecurity principles and compliance requirements.

It would be nice if you also have the following:

    • Experience leading large-scale technology transformation or change management programmes.
    • Experience in the gaming or entertainment industry.
    • Advanced certifications in project or portfolio management (e.g., PMP, PgMP).
