Clinical Education Manager, Critical Care Transport

Objective of the Position: 
The Clinical Education Manager, CCT serves the essential role of ensuring that the Royal Ambulance CCT Program provides industry leading, quality, progressive, and evidence-based patient care to those in need. The CCT program deploys 12 ground critical care units per day across the San Francisco Bay Area with a staff of 45+ RNs. The program is well known for its ability to support high risk cardiac patients on a variety of mechanical circulatory devices. 

The Clinical Education Manager is a highly motivated, engaging, and supportive educator and leader who is passionate about CCT and who brings demonstrated experience providing clinical education to pre-hospital critical care clinicians. 

The Clinical Education Manager leads the development and teaching of comprehensive transport specific educational content, CQI, protocol development, equipment/formulary management, and performs first hand clinical evaluations and clinical performance management. 

Responsibilities:
-Serves as a key member of the Royal Ambulance leadership team responsible for being a steward of Royal’s culture and values. 
-Serves as a driving force for progressive and cutting-edge critical care transport education and patient care.
-In conjunction with the Medical Director, develops and implements industry leading and progressive critical care transport clinical protocols allowing for evidence based optimal patient care.
-Creates and implements a comprehensive educational plan for all critical care transport clinicians.
-Oversees and leads initial and recurrent education for all critical care transport clinicians.
-Develops specialized training in response to identified trends.
-Leads and implements a comprehensive critical care CQI program.
-Maintains oversight and management of the California Board of Registered Nursing Continuing Education Program and paramedic skills sign offs. 
-Attends various regional and local EMS and critical care related meetings. 
-Represents the Company external on all CCT clinical matters.
-Supports EMT education and BLS clinical training. 
-Supports ALS operations with specialized CQI and education.  
-Other duties as reasonably assigned

Skills/Requirements: 
-Active (or ability to obtain) unencumbered California Registered Nurse license
-Five or more years of experience as a registered nurse in an air (rotor) and ground critical care transport setting
-Current American Heart Association - ACLS, PALS, BLS
-Current CFRN or CTRN certification (CEN or CCRN considered, will be required to obtain CFRN or CTRN within 90 days)
-NRP Certification
-Advanced trauma certification (TPATC strongly preferred - will consider ITLS, PHTLS, or TNCC)
-Minimum of 18 months experience in a primary clinical education position or equivalent
-BSN or higher


*While this is currently an all-nurse program, a truly exceptional paramedic with 10+ years of flight and ground critical care transport experience and demonstrated high acuity critical care transport education experience may be considered. 

$170,000 - $200,000 a year
Compensation: $170k-200K Base + Incentive
