Range: $17-20/hr dependent on commensurate experience

Summary: We are hiring a limited-term team member to join our HR/People Team to provide necessary administrative support for our Employee Health and compliance initiatives. This role can either be remote, hybrid, or in-person at our San Leandro Headquarters. We are anticipating a 30-60 day term, however depending on the success of this role, we may be open to extending and increasing the scope.

Objective:  Under the direct supervision of the HR Manager, the HR Health Coordinator is an administrative role responsible for supporting the employee health compliance efforts of Royal Ambulance. The Coordinator responsibilities will primarily include: supporting the HR/People Team department through data entry, collecting employee health information, validating certifications and immunizations, and ensuring that Royal Ambulance employees are compliant and up-to-date with Federal, State, and County regulations. 


    • Oversee the data entry, collection, and tracking of employee health records including, but not limited to: COVID vaccination and booster requirements, and other required immunizations, and conduct regular follow-ups with employees as needed
    • Consult with COVID positive or exposed employees regarding the isolation protocol and return to work criteria and track, monitor and check-in with employees regularly and evaluate and document their progress
    • Conduct contact tracing as needed and provide information to employees regarding the workplace close contact exposure
    • Provide daily/weekly reports of new COVID-related cases and return-to-work statuses, and attend weekly meetings as needed
    • Manage and audit the Daily Workplace COVID Self-Screening process, and ensure all employees are in compliance with the policy
    • Assist employees with resources and education such as maintaining safety in the workplace, and our employee assistance program with an emphasis on empathy and compassion
    • Collaborate and communicate with our key stakeholders to ensure adequate support is provided for each employee
    • Assist the HR Manager with regularly scheduled HR audits as needed
    • Assist with developing and assessing COVID-related or other health-related interventions as needed
    • Demonstrate and support Royals Values, Mission and Quality Standards
    • Maintain confidentiality regarding any patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations, as well as any sensitive company or employee related information
    • Complete cross-training of other HR functions as needed
    • Assist with other duties as assigned


    • Must have full-time availability (35-40 hours per week)
    • Role can be done remotely or in-person (your choice)
    • HR/Administrative Assistant experience highly preferred but not required
    • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and employee confidentiality 
    • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Advanced computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications (Google Suite)
