RPS is currently seeking an Intermediate level Microsoft .NET Software Developer with 3 to 7 years of experience developing desktop applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for support and maintenance of new and existing software, writing code primarily in C#.
•Practical work experience with Software Development Lifecycle including the technologies listed below.
•Experience in designing and developing enterprise scale .NET applications.
•Expertise with the .NET Framework 4.0 or greater using the VB.Net or C# programming language.
•Experience with desktop applications using WinForms or WPF.
•Experience working with web services
•Experience working with XML and JSON libraries.
•Knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server)
•Ability to pick up technologies quickly and learn new skills.
•Ability to work independently and be a flexible, self-motivated team player.
•Strong math skills
•Uses good judgment when analyzing the impact of code edits or additions on existing code.
•Skilled in ensuring delivered code meets high standards of quality and re-usability.
•BS / BA in computer or engineering related field
Nice to Have:
•Experience developing complex, robust web apps, any dot net (WebForms, WPF, MVC, AJAX, CORE, etc.)
•Some experience with JS, AJAX
•Experience with writing data services (WCF, WebAPI, Entity Framework, etc.)
•Some exposure to GIS, ArcMap objects, consuming mapping services, or even better, experience with developing ArcGIS Server or Pro or Desktop apps
•Exposure to NetCDF (reading, writing)
•Exposure to or experience with AGILE/Scrum methodologies
