Summary Description
As a member of our Tax team, you will be empowered to work directly with our diverse client base and team to provide a broad spectrum of tax and related consulting services. You will help develop team processes and systems, lead by example through demonstration of initiative, resourcefulness, and independent thinking. You will be valued as an individual, viewed as a leader and recognized for your accomplishments.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Engagement Manager and be responsible for planning, execution, final deliverable and billing and collections
- Review complex individual, partnership, S and C corporate tax returns, as well as nonprofit and trust returns and work papers
- Develop detailed engagement plans, including budgets and timeline for delivery
- Monitor client engagements against the budget and communicate schedule adjustments to management
- Analyze complex client transactions to identify and resolve potential and/or existing problems
- Manage communication with staff and clients addressing client concerns as needed
- Identify opportunities to increase level and type of services
- Provide outstanding client service by building client confidence and trust
- Develop team member's technical skills and encourage professional growth
Requirements
- BS in Accounting, Masters in Taxation a plus
- CPA required
- 8+ years of experience in public accounting with a focus in tax
- Experience with CCH Axcess preferred
- A collaborative team player with excellent communication abilities
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and sharp analytical abilities
- Self-starter with a strong sense of initiative and a proven track record of follow-through
$165,000 - $200,000 a year
